Marmaris – Datça – Marmaris

Sailing boatThis route will make your head spin. Not only because of the high-oxygen fresh air in Datça, but also because of the breath-taking beauty of the Gulf of Hisarönü. Enjoy dramatic natural harbours, sapphire seas and pine-fragranced coves of Turkey.

Day 1 – Marmaris

Set against a backdrop of pine covered mountains, enjoy the lively streets of Marmaris on your first night. A large town, you can either opt to head to the thriving centre buzzing with life or stay closer to your boat and have dinner in the old town overlooking the harbour.

Aegean CoastDay 2 – Turunç – Bozukkale

Where the green trees meet the sapphire seas, start your tour of the picturesque Riviera with a visit to the beautiful spot of Turunç. Later, your boat will take you to Bozukkale Cove. At the entrance of the cove you can see the ancient ruins of the hilltop city of Loryma.

Day 3 – Selimiye – Bencik Cove

Start the day with a swim in the pristine sea of Selimiye enclosed by pine, olive and willow trees.   Your gulet will then set sail to the deep cove of Bencik. The water here is incredibly calm and cool. It’s so calm, in fact, that in the evening you can see the entire sky refelcted in the sea. Stargaze without looking up.

Kız KumuDay 4 – Değirmenbükü – Datça

You will spend the morning in the magnificent inlet of Değirmenbükü before heading to the old town of Datça. This idyllic town has a beautiful old quarter and the region is famed for its fresh air and rich history.

Day 5 – Aktur – Orhaniye (Kız Kumu)

After a breakfast in Aktur, you’ll have a chance to walk on water. Orhaniye Bay’s Kız Kumu (or Girl’s Sand) is a strip of shallow water that divides the bay in half. Enjoy the fun of walking in the middle of the sea. Naturally this intriguing site has an accompanying legend; be sure to ask your captain about story.

Morning will be spent near the small fishing village of Bozborun. Enjoy a dip or take a trip to the village to pick up some of their world-famous thyme honey. After, your boat sets sails to Serce Harbour, a natural harbour only accessible by sea ensuring total seclusion. The boat will anchor in the peaceful Kadirga Cove for the night.

Day 7 – Turunç – Marmaris

Spend your last day swimming in the crystal clear waters in Turunç. Relax and reflect on a wonderful week of cruising before heading back to Marmaris to enjoy your final night on the boat.

 

Day 8 – Marmaris

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you’ll disembark at 10am with an air relaxation and head full of memories. Marmaris holidays don’t get much better than this.
