Fethiye
Fethiye is a laid-back tourist spot and a great base for boat holidays. Known as Telmessos, the most important city of ancient Lycia, you can explore ruins and take a trip to the fascinating Fethiye Museum. Besides the historical interest, the region also offers breath-taking nature, is a popular place for paragliding or diving and is the starting point for trekking the Lycian Way.
Fethiye’s position on the Turkish Riviera makes it a great spot to explore the beauties of both the Aegean and the Mediterranean all the way to Antalya. Even though it doesn’t have a huge harbour, the routes out of Fethiye offer history, nature and adventure. Highlights include the stunning natural beauty of Öludeniz, Butterfly Valley and Olympos; the captivating history of the Lycian coast and the sunken city of Kekova; diving in Kas; beautiful town of Kalkan and a chance to get out to the Greek Islands.
You can reach Fethiye from Dalaman Airport in 1 hour and we can organise transfers. Visit Airport Transfers to find out more.
Our suggested routes from Fethiye are as follows, but if you have your own ideas please feel free to contact us.

Highlights
ÖlüdenizÖlüdeniz in English means dead sea and it’s so called because of how quiet it is; even in stormy weather this sheltered bay remains remarkably calm. Within the bay there is a great beach and a large lagoon, great for swimming and kayaking. Ölüdeniz is also a premier place for paragliding – if you’re interested in trying this let us know beforehand so we can organise the route accordingly. Ölüdeniz is on the Fethiye – Kekova and Fethiye – Antalya routes. It’s also on the Göcek – Ölüdeniz, Göcek – Kekova and Marmaris – Fethiye routes.
Butterfly Valley is simply breath-taking. Sapphire waters are sheltered by steep valleys as if they are trying to protect this beauty from the outside world. As well as the a dip on the sea, this flourishing gorge is a great spot for walking and exploring. Butterfly Valley is on the Fethiye – Kekova and Fethiye – Antalya routes. It’s also on the Göcek – Kekova route.
Kekova is the base for exploring Üçağız Cove, home to one of the most intriguing of ancient sites. Due to an earthquake, the ancient city of Apollonia (Dolchiste) is now 2 metres under water. Hire a glass bottomed boat, take out a canoe or grab your snorkel and explore Turkey’s famous sunken city as well as some stunning, partially submerged Lycian tombs. And as if that wasn’t enough, Üçağız Cove is a prime turtle spotting territory. Kekova is on the Fethiye – Kekova and the Feyhiye – Antalya routes, as well as the Göcek – Kekova route.
